Blind Week 2018
Saturday 30 June – Friday 6 July
We hope you will all welcome the blind and visually impaired, and the volunteer crews – who will be arriving on Saturday evening for a Dinner in the Marquee before enjoying a week aboard a yacht. There will also be a Dinner at the end of the week on Friday 6th July. The Club will be busy when both of these events take place and we thank Members in advance for their co-operation.
Champagne, Strawberries, Sandwiches and Cream Teas will be served this Sunday afternoon between 4pm and 6pm!
Please come along and support the Club as all proceeds will go to the Commodore’s charity – “Blind Week” sailing. Tickets are just £10 per person (cash or cheque payable to RCYC Commodore’s Charity).
Please note that we will not be staying open for evening supper.
The Gin tasting evening planned for 21 July is being postponed until 13 October when summer holidays and boating times are almost over!
Our Quiz night on Wednesday 18th July at 7pm is still happening so do let us know if you plan to come along. All are welcome and it is lots of fun – just £1 per person to enter. List in the bar or click on the link below to add your name.
A forthcoming date for your diary is the Commodore’s Charity BBQ on Sunday 5th August at 3pm – more details on this event next week.
RCYC Regatta Day, Falmouth Week
Calling all cake bakers and tea ladies
A request for volunteers to help serve teas on our Regatta Day during Falmouth Week on Thursday 16th August. Also, to all those lovely bakers, please let our Social Secretary know if you will be able to bake a cake for the day. Contact Pam Cox, Social Secretary if you can help with either: email@example.com or 01326 318642.
Ho Ho Ho!
I know it’s the hottest week of the year and we are enjoying some lovely warm sunshine but our Christmas Party menu is available and we are now taking bookings. Click here for the menu. Please call our bar and catering team 01326 311105 to make a reservation.
Gardening Working Party
4th July, 9.30am
Last month we tidied up the area in the back marquee. Herbs have been planted for Brian to use in the kitchen and the area is now a much brighter place to pass through. The tubs at the front have also been planted up and there will be a band of volunteers watering these through the summer months.
Help is now desperately needed to try and restore some order to the bank! Please come along and give Eleanor and myself a hand. If you can only spare an hour it would be much appreciated. A couple of men would be great to help move some of the bigger stuff.
Dress of the day sensible shoes and gloves and some hand tools if you have them. Coffee will be provided. New faces always welcome! Any questions please contact Eleanor 01326 318351 or Rachel 01326 212185.
2018 World Cup Football
When the Club is open, and there is no other event on, we will be showing the World Cup Football on the large screen on the Upper Deck.
The next game to be shown will be England v Colombia on Tuesday 3rd July, 7pm. Come on England!
Falmouth & Penryn Sea Cadets
