Club Opening Hours and Launch
With the onset of Spring! our opening hours are slightly longer – starting in April the bar will stay open all day on Saturdays and until 6pm on Sundays. We will also be open Tuesday evenings from 10th April when Flushing racing commences.
The Launch service starts tomorrow, Friday, 30 March. Our bosuns, Kim Tredgigdo and Brian Hardy will run the launch every day from 10.15 am until 16.45 in April. During the summer months, May to September, the launch will run from 10.15 until 18.45. (On Tuesdays and Fridays the launch will run until racing finishes).
The launch can be contacted on VHF channel M (37). The call sign is â€˜Club Launchâ€™.
We are saddened to inform Members that Esme Hackett passed away last night in St Julia’s Hospice. As some of you will know, Esme, was diagnosed with cancer last year and bravely fought against the disease vowing to enjoy every day as much as possible.
Our sincere condolences are with Peter and family members.
Funeral details will be announced in due course.
Easter Sunday Carvery Lunch
Family staying this Easter weekend? Why not bring them in and and enjoy a delicious roast dinner with all the trimmings but without the hassle!

Members will already have put our Push the Boat Out Day in their diaries(!), and for those who haven’t it’s Saturday 12th May 1100 – 1700.
It’s our big opportunity to showcase the Club and hopefully attract some new members. All are encouraged to come and make the day a big success. As you may imagine the Organising folk at RCYC need a rota of VOLUNTEERS so please listen up and maybe you can help out. Specifically we need:
another boat launch or motor boat for harbour trips
a sailing boat or two with skipper to take people out for a short try sail trip around the harbour or to Black Rock etc .
some people to help register ashore families or individuals who are going out on the water on dinghies or yachts.
some people to help put on flotation devices and get them back.
some people to press a button or two on the computer to run a slide show about the Club, and provide general info about RCYC.
responsible adults to help Melody and Abi with the sailing youngsters and supervise games on the lawn.

RCYC and RNSA – pre season meet
Our sailing season starts on Thursday April 12th so be at the Club at 19.00 for 19.30 for a supper gathering for ALL members of RCYC and RNSA. This is a joint gathering and we look forward to seeing a jolly crowd at our first event of 2018.
