‘Yot Grot’ and Charity Coffee Morning
Last Saturday saw the annual charity coffee morning and yacht grot take place In the Club. As you know, we have a few events each year to help us run the biannual Sailing for the Blind Week which enables many visually impaired sailors to enjoy a week’s sailing in and around our local waters.
The social committee would like to thank those of you who helped us raise the amazing some of £683.40 at the coffee morning. A big thank you to the committee members who organised it and helped on the day, the many of you who supplied things for us to sell and also to those of you who supported the event and parted with your cash!
MISSING SEWING MACHINE…….
Can you solve the mystery of the sewing machine which did not get sold at the Yot Grot and was taken up to the Conference Room for safekeeping to be sold in eBay or privately. It has since disappeared and we would very much like to know who has taken it. The Member who kindly donated the sewing machine was keen that the sum raised should go to the Commodore’s charity.
Tuesday 28 November at 9.30am
Volunteers needed to help put up the Christmas Decorations at the Club.
There is lots to be done to make the Club look festive in time for all the Christmas events and bookings.
Please come along and lend a hand or hold a ladder!!
