Champagne and Strawberries on the Roseland
May 29th 2008
A number of members took up the excellent invitation to Champagne and strawberries at the home of a member on the Roseland. Several couples arrived by yacht and dinghy taking the climb from the water's edge up to the gardens and house, joining the less active mortals in enjoying the excellent view across the Roseland and south towards Pendennis.
As members admired the garden and the views, the bubbly flowed to allow the strawberries to be dipped and then glistened with sugar and finally popped into mouths. The conversations overheard were wide ranging including topics of cruising locations, anchorages and good shops (even from some of the men!).
All too soon we gathered to applaud the Commodore's vote of thanks to our hosts, David and Cornelia.
Images of the view and members attending are in the gallery.
