18.12

RO and ARO agree line OK  (if not OK - must postpone or go as is - it cannot be changed after 18.15)

Note:  RO should be constantly doing own wind checks at all times when CB is anchored

Postponement

If a postponement is made then timing will agree with RO new warning signal time for sequence to start. (One minute after AP down)

Timing and Radio will prepare and use the “Postponed Start Sheet” for countdown timings before the AP is lowered. RO must ensure that adequate time is permitted to do this so take care to consult with your team on this and then choose a round 5 minute time

Note on Postponement versus General Recall strategy:-

If at the start of any class the fleet cause a general recall (All premature starters not identified) and the line is good, then go ahead with a General Recall and let the fleet recalled go to the back of the queue. (their problem - not yours)

If the line is not good and you know this before the start and this is clearly going to cause a General Recall then postpone before the start, re set your line and go again  (Your problem – not theirs)
