Membership and EPOS systems
You may have heard that the Club is about to implement a new membership system and an electronic point of sale system. This is a major updating of the Club's facilities in serving our members and will allow the Club to introduce a number of new facilities for members.
The House Committee has agreed the route forward and asked that information be made available to members via a variety of means. These include this part of the website, a folder on the subject in the Oak Room as well as regular emails on the subject to those members who have provided the Club with their email addresses.
The new systems are loaded and prepared for use. The EPOS till is ready for use by bar staff as a standalone till and will be linked to the membership system after training and final checking in early March 2009. We expect that the membership cards plus documentation will be sent to members' homes in mid March. On behalf of the Club, the project manager is Phil Sissons with support from Judith Sowell, Michael Slater and John Heath.
This page will be used to provide updates for members on progress and to attempt to answer any questions that arise. The systems purchased are adaptable and can be modified at future times to meet the Club's changing needs so if you have comments or views then please feel free to provide feedback (positively would be good!!). The first of the most frequently asked questions is available below. If you have more questions please email me with them and I will answer the question and add both the question and the answer to the FAQ document.
