Declaration & Waiver
Declaration - I declare that I hold insurance at all times (including during racing) against third party claims in the sum of at least £2,000,000, which will remain in force for the duration of the events that I have entered. I agree to be bound by the Racing Rules of Sailing 2009 / 2012 and confirm that I agree to be bound by the Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions for these events.
Waiver – A boat is entirely responsible for her own safety and nothing whether in the Notice of Race or Sailing Instructions or anywhere else reduces this responsibility. It is for a boat to decide whether she is fit to sail in the conditions in which she will find herself. By going to sea the boat confirms that she is fit for those conditions and her crew competent to sail and compete in them.
Nothing done by the organisers can reduce the responsibility of the boat nor will it make the organisers responsible for any loss, damage, death or personal injury, however it may have occurred as a result of the boat taking part in the racing. The organisers encompass everyone helping to run the races and the event, and include the Organising Authority, the British Dragon Association, the race committee, the race officer, patrol boats and beach-masters.
The provision of Patrol Boats does not relieve the boat of her responsibilities.
Data Protection Act 1998 - I consent to my name and the name and details of my boat, but no other personal details being posted on the RCYC website.
