Cruising at the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club
 ROYAL NAVAL SAILING ASSOCIATION
FALMOUTH BRANCH
AND
THE ROYAL CORNWALL YACHT CLUB
CRUISING PROGRAMME 2009
This year we have a combined programme between us – we have many members in common and historically our most successful ventures have been as ‘Combined Ops’
This year we shall have the ever popular shakedown meet at Fowey in early May and then a series of informal meet afloat during the summer months with a couple of more organised meets in September. The first September meet is also in conjunction with the Cruising Association where we have been invited to join in on their Autumn Rally to the West Country. The second September meet will be our usual combined meet with the Plymouth RNSA Group and Royal Western YC at Fowey.
We hope to see as many of you as possible at the meets. All are welcome to take part whether RNSA or RCYC or both. Please bring along, or pass along this programme to, any RNSA Members that you may know off that may wish to join in. For most of the events then it is just a matter of turning up. We would ask you to follow the 'Meeting Afloat Protocol' however. . Email contact for us is: rnsafalmouth@gmail.com
The events that are highlighted in red we will need to know numbers for meal bookings etc and deposits may be required. We will let you know a bit nearer the time.
Let’s all hope for a good summer - See you on the water

19 September – Fowey Meet – Plymouth RNSA and Royal Western YC
This event is our annual final end of season run with our Plymouth Brethren, RNSA Plymouth and RWYC. It is a bit more formal - jackets and ties and posh frocks – the ladies can where what they like!!!!
Here’s the details. Meet on the visitors' pontoon, where space has been reserved for us, for rum punch at 1730. We plan to go ashore at 1830 for supper in the yacht club, preferably using the water taxi.
The meal is Salmon and spinach fishcakes
Herb crusted rack of lamb
Lemon cheesecake
Cheese and biscuits
Coffee
Glass of port
at a cost of £19.95 a head. Pay on the day. Wine will be provided on the tables. Jacket and tie for gentlemen for this fairly formal (by our standards!) event.
We need to know the number of yachts for the pontoon and the number of people for supper. The chef has to purchase the ingredients for our meal, so should you be unable to sail to Fowey, come by road, as you will be expected to pay for your meal regardless! Numbers limited to fifty. Let Ian Munday know as early as possible if you plan to come. Book early to avoid disappointment.
