Cruising at the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club
RCYC Cruise in Company to Fowey
May 3rd to 5th 2008
Report and Gallery
The RCYC Spring Cruise to Fowey is always a popular event and this year was no exception. It is combined with the local RNSA cruising group many of whom are club members too and also the COGS race was in town.
In all, 11 RCYC/RNSA boats made the meet and though it was a bit 'bumpy' down in the harbour with a Southerly, the fleet berthed at the Grid Iron Pontoon, North of the Boddinick Ferry and had a very comfortable time in super weather. Gallants Sailing Club was the venue for a good meal for the 28 diners on the Sunday night and with fair weather and gentle winds, we all had a good sail home the next day. The following wind gave George and Rachael Curnow in 'Golden Eye' the opportunity to try out their new multi coloured cruising chute.
A great start to the season - why don't you join us next year or at any of the other programme events this year.
