Waiver – The Skipper and crew is entirely responsible for their and the boat’s safety and nothing whether in the Notice of Race or Sailing Instructions or anywhere else reduces this responsibility. It is for the skipper and crew to decide whether they are fit to sail in the conditions in which they will find themselves. By going to sea, they confirm that they are fit for those conditions and competent to sail and compete in them.

Nothing done by the organisers can reduce the responsibility of the boat nor will it make the organisers responsible for any loss, damage, death or personal injury, however it may have occurred as a result of the boat taking part in the racing. The organisers encompass everyone helping to run the races and the event, and include the Organising Authority, the race committee, the race officer, patrol boats and beachmasters.

The provision of Patrol Boats does not relieve the boat of her responsibilities.

Declaration - I declare that I hold insurance at all times (including during racing) against third party claims in the sum of at least £2,000,000 and that I will continue to do so while racing in the RCYC Club Inshore Races. I agree to be bound by the Racing Rules of Sailing and all other rules that govern the RCYC Club Inshore Races. I have read the RCYC Notice of Race and confirm that I agree to be bound by its provisions and that my boat will conform to its requirements whenever racing in the RCYC Club Inshore Races.

Data Protection Act 1998 - I consent to my name and the name and details of my boat, but no other personal details being posted in the results section of the RCYC website.
